Welcome to Go To Travel. These terms govern your use of our website at gototravelapp.com and, when launched, the Go To Travel mobile app. By joining the waitlist or using the site, you agree to these terms.

Plain-English summary: Be reasonable, don't abuse the service, and understand that we're a startup in beta — things will change as we improve. Travel info we provide is for planning help, not booking guarantees.

What Go To Travel is

Go To Travel is an AI-powered travel itinerary planner. The website (gototravelapp.com) lets you join our waitlist and learn about the app. The mobile app, when available, helps you plan personalized trips for yourself, your family, your partner, or your group.

Waitlist signups

By submitting your email to our waitlist, you confirm that:

• You're at least 13 years old (16 if you're in the EU).
• The email you provided is yours.
• You consent to receive launch and product updates. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit fake, automated, or spam waitlist entries.
• Use the site or app to send spam, malware, or harmful content.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our proprietary content.
• Impersonate anyone else or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the service for anything illegal.

We may remove your access at any time if we reasonably believe you're violating these terms.

AI-generated travel content

When the app launches, it will provide AI-generated itineraries, place recommendations, and other travel information. This content is:

• For planning help, not booking guarantees. Restaurant hours change, attractions close, prices vary — always verify before you go.
• Not a substitute for professional advice about travel safety, medical needs, visas, or insurance.
• Generated by AI and may occasionally include errors. We do our best to provide accurate information but cannot guarantee it.

You're responsible for verifying critical details before booking or relying on any specific recommendation.

Intellectual property

The Go To Travel name, logo, website design, and app are owned by us. The traveler quiz, traveler types ("Explorer", "Trailblazer", "Visionary"), and product copy are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission.

Content you create in the app (your trips, your wishlist, your notes) belongs to you. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service.

Third-party services

Our service uses third-party providers (e.g. Google Maps, OpenAI/Gemini for AI generation, Supabase for storage). When you use the app, you're also bound by their respective terms. We're not responsible for third-party services' availability or accuracy.

Pricing and subscriptions

The waitlist is free. The app will have a free tier and a paid "Plus" tier. Pricing, features, and terms of any paid subscription will be clearly disclosed before you subscribe and are subject to App Store / Google Play platform terms in addition to ours.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost trips, missed bookings, or travel mishaps based on AI-generated suggestions.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you haven't paid us anything).

Termination

You can stop using the service or unsubscribe from emails at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or for technical/operational reasons, with reasonable notice when possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
