Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
Go To Travel ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you join our waitlist or use our website at gototravelapp.com.
Plain-English summary: We collect your email when you join the waitlist, plus any travel preferences you choose to share. We use that to email you about the launch and to set up your profile when the app is ready. We don't sell your data to anyone.
What we collect
- Email address — when you sign up for the waitlist.
- Travel preferences (optional) — if you take the traveler quiz, we save your answers (group type, travel style, pace, interests, and traveler type) so we can personalize your experience at launch.
- Platform preference — if you tap an App Store or Google Play button, we note which platform you're interested in.
- Technical info — we store a hashed version of your IP address (not your raw IP) and your browser type to help us prevent spam. We may also store UTM parameters if you arrive from a tracked link.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics (or similar) to understand how visitors use the site. This uses cookies; you can opt out via your browser settings or our cookie banner.
How we use it
- To email you when the app launches and during early access.
- To pre-fill your profile in the app so you don't have to do onboarding twice.
- To improve the website and understand which marketing channels work.
- To prevent spam and abuse.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
- We don't share your email with anyone other than essential service providers (e.g. email-sending, analytics).
- We don't send promotional spam — only launch updates and meaningful product news.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website:
- Supabase — stores your waitlist signup.
- Resend — sends you launch and product emails.
- Google Analytics (or equivalent) — anonymous traffic analytics.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
Each of these has their own privacy policies. They process data on our behalf and are bound by contract.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Unsubscribe — every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Request your data — email us and we'll send you what we have.
- Request deletion — email us and we'll remove your record from the waitlist.
- Correct your data — same way: just email us.
If you're in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. If you're in California, you have rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Data retention
We keep your waitlist signup until you ask us to delete it or until we're confident you're no longer interested (e.g. multiple emails unopened over a long period). At that point we delete the record.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: essentials to make the site work, and analytics to count visits. We don't use advertising cookies. If we add a cookie banner, you can manage your preferences there.
Children
Go To Travel is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything material changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.

Questions, requests, or concerns? Email hello@gototravelapp.com and we'll respond within 7 days.
⚠️ Note for the founder: This is a sensible starting policy for a pre-launch waitlist but it is not a substitute for review by a lawyer who knows your jurisdiction. Before significant marketing spend or App Store submission, have a lawyer review and tailor it to your business. Update the "Last updated" date and confirm the list of service providers actually matches what you're using.
